Chalk & Wire to Host 13th Annual Assessment User Conference

Ridgeway, Ontario – June 14, 2016 – Chalk & Wire, the most trusted higher education assessment platform, will host its 13th Annual User Conference at partner institution Molloy College, in Rockville Center, N.Y. on June 21-23, 2016. The conference will gather more than 100 assessment leaders from nationally recognized institutions.

With presentations from some of the nation’s higher education visionaries, Chalk & Wire’s “Great Expectations” Assessment Conference will help its client institutions learn valuable strategies for creating and implementing successful assessment programs for students across campus, as well as network and learn from each other.

Speakers represent a variety of institutions including the University of Virginia, The College of Saint Rose, St. Petersburg College, Molloy College, ECPI University and Oral Roberts University.

The conference will feature sessions including:

  • Managing the integration of assessment initiatives with learning management systems
  • Implementing assessment strategies across campus, e.g., multiple programs and locations
  • Robust rubric development and assessment strategies
  • Collecting information and streamlining management of field placements

Informally referred to as “assessment boot camp,” an optional pre-conference workshop, will take place on June 21. During this half-day event, Chalk & Wire will present the first two modules of its new professional development course “Excellence in Assessment.

Hosting the event, Molloy College is an independent Catholic college based in Rockville Centre and was founded in 1955 by the Sisters of Saint Dominic in Amityville, NY. The College serves a student population of approximately 4,600 undergraduate and graduate students. Molloy students can earn degrees in a variety of outstanding academic programs, including nursing, business, education, social work, music therapy and many more.
