SchoolDude, a Dude Solutions company and leading provider of education operations management solutions, today announced that Albuquerque Public Schools (APS) has saved $2 million over the last five years due to its preventive maintenance program managed by Dude Solutions’ MaintenanceEssentials Pro.
The solution helps APS manage more than 70,000 yearly work order requests and recurring tasks on one platform increasing productivity, while saving at least 30 minutes per work order request.
By working with SchoolDude, APS has also enhanced its energy initiatives by tracking energy costs and usage for all of its facilities. The school district has used these additional funds to paint classrooms, add new playgrounds, modernize schools with new technology and more.

Additionally, outside organizations can book APS facility space online with the company’s EventEssentials Pro solution, which streamlines the scheduling process and reduces energy costs by controlling equipment operation.

APS is comprised of 16.1 million total square feet of property that includes 14.4 million square feet of facilities at 161 locations. This includes traditional schools (13 High, 27 Middle, and 79 Elementary), various alternative and charter schools, nine administrative buildings, and three sports stadiums.
