BackOffice Associates Leads Charge for Holistic Information Governance with Global Mid-Year Milestones

Information Governance Leader Acquires CompriseIT, Opens Barcelona Global Delivery Center to Support SAP S4/HANA® Implementations and Unveils Comprehensive On-Premise Information Governance Solution dspConduct

South Harwich, MA – Sept. 13, 2016 – Validating its position as an information governance and data stewardship innovator, BackOffice Associates today unveiled its key achievements for the first half of 2016 – both on a global scale and across the major regions it serves. Among its many accomplishments, the information governance and data modernization leader generated a spike in customers seeking its industry-recognized Data Stewardship Platform (DSP) to manage information governance initiatives.

“For today’s global enterprises, we’ve seen a market shift toward comprehensive information governance capabilities that serve both business and IT users—empowering them to achieve strategic and operational efficiencies across the organization for long-term gain,” said David Booth, chairman and CEO, BackOffice Associates. “Our global and regional successes, including the launch of our on-premise information governance solution dspConduct and the opening of a powerhouse delivery center for SAP S/4HANA, have positioned us well for a strong second half of the year.”

The company’s core focus of helping Global 2000 organizations leverage data stewardship was further demonstrated through the launch of dspConduct in May. Built on version 6.5 of the DSP, the company’s most powerful data stewardship platform to date, dspConduct is a holistic information governance solution that enables organizations to set, execute and enforce key data policies across heterogeneous system landscapes.

In the first quarter of 2016, BackOffice Associates announced the opening of the Barcelona Delivery Center for SAP S/4HANA® to help global organizations migrate to SAP S/4HANA. Shortly thereafter, the company acquired UK-based CompriseIT to intensify its efforts and commitment in helping customers globally as they embark on their journey to implement SAP S/4HANA.

Continuing to forge new partnerships with marquee global enterprise software organizations, BackOffice Associates recently secured a global agreement with Infor to resell BackOffice’s data migration solutions as Data Migration Accelerators at the close of the first half of 2016.

Beyond global achievements, BackOffice Associates’ North America, Europe and Africa, and Asia-Pacific, Japan and Middle East regions celebrated their own successes.

North America Regional Achievements:

North America achieved a notable milestone in software sales, registering one of the company’s highest quarters on record with more than 20 deals signed with global retailers, manufacturers and government entities. This included new contracts in a number of diverse industries including life sciences, blue chip consulting, food processing and technology.

Commenting on BackOffice’s North America momentum in 2016, COO and President of North America Alex Berry shared, “I’m very proud of the cohesive, high-level attainment exhibited by my teams to deliver an outstanding H1 result. As we march into the second-half of our fiscal year, I look forward to maintaining our revenue trajectory with some of the most formidable partnerships our company has developed to date.”

Europe and Africa Regional Achievements:

For the Europe and Africa BackOffice Associates team, regional growth remains strong. At the close of H1, the region is on target to reach its forecast of 50 percent year-over-year revenue growth. To support this sustained growth, BackOffice Associates has added top talent and expertise to its regional teams and built a UK-based Digital Transformation Practice (DTP) led by BackOffice Associates’ SAP Mentor Owen Pettiford. The DTP oversees strategic global customer migrations and implementations of SAP S/4HANA.

According to Clive Bellmore, BackOffice Associates CEO for Europe and Africa, “The CompriseIT acquisition, coupled with the launch of the DTP, has further solidified our stake as a thought leader in the SAP S/4HANA space. Our readiness assessment for SAP S/4HANA is in high demand as executives strive to understand the importance and benefits of defining their roadmap and implementation strategy early in order to reduce risk and manage and control investment.”

Asia Pacific Japan & Middle East Regional Achievements:

Continuing its success in the region, the local BackOffice team opened new offices in New Zealand, Japan and the Philippines, marking 23 percent year-over-year growth in the number of regional employees. In addition, BackOffice Associates supported the first global implementation of SAP Master Data Governance 8.0 on SAP HANA® for Asian Paints, one of the largest paint manufacturers in India. In the first quarter, BackOffice Associates expanded its India operations with new Global Delivery Centers (GDCs) in Hyderabad and Bangalore and has seen a 40 percent increase in headcount for its overall GDC India operations.

Added Krish Datta, CEO of BackOffice Associates Asia Pacific, Japan & Middle East, “Our customer satisfaction remains high, and current customers continue to demand more of our combined offerings based on the push toward SAP S/4HANA and the cloud. The launch of dspConduct and our local centers of excellence and skills developed around SAP S/4HANA, SAP HANA® Enterprise Cloud, SAP Fiori® and non-SAP data management are helping to drive new customer acquisitions as well.”
